Bread Upma is one of the peppiest ways to have bread! Although it is a great way to use up leftover bread, many people like it so much that they would go and buy a fresh pack of bread just to make this upma - At least I do it !!

Makes 2 servings
Ingredients:
8 slices of sandwich bread pieces (Please do not use milk bread, else the upma will taste little sweet) 5-6 tbsp oil 1 tsps mustard seeds ( rai / sarson) 1 tbsp Cumin seeds (Jeera) 1/2 tbsp hing 4-5 finely chopped green chillies 1 chopped onion 2 chopped tomatoes 1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi) 1 tbsp black pepper powder 1 tbsp salt to taste 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania) Recipe: 1. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hingm haldi 2. When the seeds crackle add green chilies and onion and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. 3. Add the tomatoes and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes till it leaves oil. 4. Add the bread, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously. 6. Switch off the flame, sprinkle the black pepper powder coriander and mix well. 7. Serve hot.
