Choco Nutty Cake


Choco Nutty cake melts-in-the-mouth and is a sure to make your heart melt !! It turn out very Yummy and its an feast dish for all the chocolate lovers !! 


  



Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups melted Milk Chocolate Compound
2 cups melted Dark Chocolate Compound
1/2 cup sugar syrup
1/2 cup grated / cut almonds, cashew nuts
1/2 cup grated chocolate compound (for decoration)

Recipe:
  1.  Sieve the plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda together. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla essence and 5 tbsp of water in deep bowl and beat well using a whisk.
  3. Add the sieved flour mixture and mix gently with help of a spatula.
  4. The batter should be of dropping consistency.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and dusted 175 mm. (7”) diameter cake tin. 
  6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºc (360ºf) for 20 to 25 minutes or till done.
  7. Invert the tin over a rack and tap sharply to unmould the cake and let it cool down.
  8. Slice the sponge cake horizontally into 2 equal. 
  9. Soak the bottom layer of the sponge cake with ½ the sugar syrup
  10. Spread the milk chocolate compound on the soaked layer of the cake and put few grated almonds and cashew nuts in the layer.
  11.  Keep the second layer on top of this and spread the remaining milk chocolate truffle on top in an even layer.
  12. Spread the dark chocolate cream on top and at the sides of the cake. Garnish with Grated almond, cashew nuts and grated chocolate compound.
Tips :
  1. You will find the Milk and dark chocolate compounds readily available in market. 
  2. Double boil the compound instead of directly melting it. i.e boil water in one big vessel, add chocolate compound in another small vessel and keep this chocolate vessel in the vessel of boiling water. Keep boiling the water till the chocolate melts. Take care that the chocolate vessel doesn't immerse in water while continuous stirring the chocolate.
