Methi Paratha - Lightly spiced paratha like Indian flat-bread is prepared from wheat flour, fenugreek leaves and other spices.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain) or Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 small tsp Besan (Gram Flour)
2 small pieces of Gud (Jaggery)
salt to taste
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
oil for cooking

Ingredients:

Recipe:
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
- Divide the dough into 9 equal portions.
- Roll a portion of the dough into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
- Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each circle, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
- Serve hot.
