French fries are served hot, either soft or crispy, and are generally eaten as part of lunch or dinner or by themselves as a snack, and they commonly appear on the menus of diners, fast food restaurants, pubs.

Ingredients:
4 medium sized potato
¾ tsp salt
¼ cup corn flour
2 tbsp oil
½ tsp pepper crushed
½ tsp red chilli powder
oil for deep frying
½ tsp mixed herbs basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme (Optional - based on taste preferred) / alternative ingredient is Chat masala which gives Indian taste

Ingredients:

oil for deep frying

Recipe:
- Peel the potatoes, slice them vertically, boil the potato slices for 3 minutes adding little salt in the water.
- Drain the water and keep potatoes aside. cool completely.
- Coat the potatoes with 2 tbsp oil.
- Now add ¼ cup corn flour, ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp mixed herbs, mix well making sure the corn flour gets coated uniformly.
- freeze the potato slices for atleast 3-4 hours.
- Take them out of Fridge and deep fry the potatoes into hot oil.
- Stir occasionally, till the potatoes turn golden brown and crisp.
- Sprinkle wedges with salt and chilli powder before serving.
- Serve them immediately with Tomato Sauce !!
Notes : For slicing the potatoes exactly as they are in the restaurants, there is a potato cutter that I use, and it chops the potatoes exactly the way they are served in restaurants. I am sharing the image of cutter below :
