Paneer Lababdar || Authentic Paneer Curry || Deliciously different

Paneer Lababdar (Cottage Cheese Lababdar) is the most Authentic way of making Paneer Gravy curry. It gives out all blend of spices taste and tastes yummy.. 😇😋

Ingredients :

1 cup Roughly chopped Onions
1 and half cup roughly chopped Tomatoes
4 soaked Red chillies
3-4 small pieces of Beetroot ( I am replacing food color with natural beetroot color)
4-5 tbsp soaked Poppy seeds 
7-8 soaked cashewnuts
200 gms Paneer chopped into cubes
8-9 Cloves of Garlic
1/2 inch Ginger
1 finely chopped onion


Recipe :

1. Heat oil for deep frying and fry 2/3rd of Paneer cubes. fry them until its Golden brown. Keep Aside
2. Leave the 1/3rd portion of Paneer cubes for garnishing.
3. Grind Chopped Onions, Garlic, ginger into a fine paste. Keep aside
4. Grind Chopped tomatoes, beetroot and soaked red chillies into a fine paste. keep aside
5. Grind soaked Poppy seeds, cashew nuts into a fine paste. Keep aside.
6. Heat 5-6 tbsp oil, add 1 bay leaf, 3-4 cloves,1 tbsp Cumin seeds (Jeera), 1 tbsp turmeric (Haldi), 1/2 tbsp asafoetida ( hing)
7. Add one finely chopped onion, saute well
8. Now add the onion paste prepared in step 3. Saute well
9. Now add the tomato beetroot paste prepared in step 4. Saute well till it leaves oil.
10. Now add poppy seeds and cashewnuts paste prepared ib step 5. saute well
11. Add 2 tbsp red chilli powder, 2 tbsp salt. Mix well
12. Cover and cook for 2 mins. Once the gravy thickens and leaves oil, add the fried Paneer from Step1 13. Add 1 tbsp crushed Kasuri Methi, 1 tbsp fresh cream.
14. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and white paneer.
15. Authentic Paneer Lababdar is ready.
16. Serve with hot Butter Naan / Roti.
