Eggless Chocolate Sponge Cake - Cake is a form of sweet dessert that is typically baked. This recipe is very simple for beginners and trust me the cake comes out very well !!! 😃😃
Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
Recipe:
1. Sieve the plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda together. Keep
aside.
2. Combine the condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla essence and 5 tbsp of water in
a deep bowl and beat well using a whisk.
3. Add the sieved flour mixture and mix gently with help of a spatula.
4. The batter should be of dropping consistency.
5. Pour the batter into a greased and dusted 175 mm. (7”) diameter cake tin.
6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºc (360ºf) for 20 to 25 minutes or till done.
7. The cake is ready when it leaves the sides of the tin and is springy to touch.
8. Invert the tin over a rack and tap sharply to unmould the cake.
9. Cut into desired pieces. Keep aside to cool and use as required.
