Chilli Paneer (Gravy)

Paneer Chilli or Chilli Paneer is an Indo Chinese Appetiser devoured by all, this spicy & tangy stir fried cottage cheese dish is a perfect one to serve as a starter in a party or a side with fried rice or noodles



Preparation Time - 20 mins
Cooking Time - 15 mins
Total time - 35 mins

Ingredients -

Paneer Pakoda :
¼ cup corn flour
¼ cup maida
½ tsp pepper, crushed
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ginger-garlic paste
¼ cup water
9 cubes paneer / cottage cheese
oil for deep frying

FOR GRAVY:
4 tsp oil
4 tbsp spring onion, chopped
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
2 green chilli, slit
½ capsicum
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp corn flour
1 cup water

Recipe -

Pakoda - 

  1. Marrinate the Paneer cubes with Spices and allow it to rest for 15-20 mins.
  1. Prepare corn flour batter adding Maida and water, dip cubes of paneer / cottage cheese and deep fry in hot oil.
  2. fry the paneer till they turn golden and crisp.


Gravy -
  1. Heat Oil in Kadhai and add 2 tbsp spring onion, 2 tbsp onion, capsicum saute well.
  2. Now add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp chilli sauce, ¼ tsp pepper and ¼ tsp salt.
  3. saute on high flame till the sauce thickens.
  4. pour the corn flour water and stir continuously.
  5. add in fried paneer.
  6. finally, serve chilli paneer gravy recipe garnished with few chopped spring onions along with fried rice.
