Paneer Momos is a simple and healthy snack recipe inherited from the traditional nepali cuisine.
Basically, it is plain flour based dumplings steamed with cabbage, carrot and spring onion stuffing. it has become a popular street food in india and is typically served with a red coloured spicy and watery momos chutney.

Ingredients:
FOR DOUGH -
2 cups all purpose flour (Maida)
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp salt
3 tbsp oil
water as required
FOR STUFFING -
1 cups finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1 cup grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
5-6 garlic cloves finely chopped
1 inch ginger finely chopped
3 chopped green chilies
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 and half tbsp salt
1 tbsp green chili sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Vinegar
Recipe:
Dough :
- Take a big bowl, add maida, baking powder, salt and oil- mix well.
- Now slowly add water and knead a soft dough.
- Allow it to rest for 10-15 mins
Stuffing:
- Heat 2-3 tbsp oil, add finely chopped garlic, chopped ginger, chopped green chilles - saute well
- Now add 1/2 cup chopped carrot, finely chopped cabbage, grated Paneer - Saute well
- Add 1 tbsp Soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, green chilli sauce and salt and mix well
- Saute for 3-4 mins, stuffing is ready
- Allow it to cool
MOMOs:
- Knead dough for 2 mins. Take small portion and roll out a thin round (here the rounds should be very rolled out very thin)
- now place a heaped tbsp of prepared stuffing in the centre.
- start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything. (Pleat similarly as you do it for saree) 😁
- press in middle and seal the momos forming a bundle.
- Once all the stuffed momo are ready, grease the steaming plate and place all the momos on it
- Grease all the momos with little oil
- Steam them for 7-8 mins on medium flame.
- Juicy Paneer Momos are ready
- Serve hot with MOMOs chutney 👇👇
