Ukadiche Modak is a traditional Maharashtrian steamed sweet dish offered to lord Ganesha on the Occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Ingredients:
For Stuffing-
1 cup Jaggery (Gud)
1 cup grinded coconut
1/4 tbsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp Ghee
For Dough -
1 cup warm water
1/4 tbsp salt
1 and half cup Rice Flour
Recipe :
- Take a kadhai, add coconut,Jaggery and stir it on low flame for 5 mins. Keep stirring continuously else the coconut might stick onto the base.
- After 5 mins add cardamon powder, 1 tbsp ghee and roast well on low flame till it separates from Kadhai. Keep the stuffing aside and allow it to cool.
- Now take 1 cup Rice flour, add 1/4 tbsp salt. Slowly add hot water and knead a soft dough.
- You can sprinkle some water if required.
- Take small portion of dough, slowly flatten its edges and form a round shape. Put the stuffing in the center and start pleating the edges together to form a bundle.
- Close the Top by pinching and make it pointed.
- Now place the Modak in steamer leaving some gaps in between. Cover the steamer and cook the Modak for 10 mins.
- Finally Pour Ghee on top of it and offer them to Lord Ganesha !!
