Mango Custard Barfi

Mango Custard Barfi is the best combination of enjoying mangoes :)

Ingredients:

3 Mangoes 
1 cup custard powder
3 cups water
4 tbsp Ghee
2 cups Sugar
Chopped dryfruits - 1/4 cup (handful)

Recipe

  1. Roughly chop the mangoes and make fine puree, keep aside
  2. Take a big bowl, add 1 cup custard powder and 3 cups water, mix well for no lumps, Keep aside
  3. Heat 2 tbsp Ghee in kadhai (Wok), add 2 cups Sugar, mix well
  4. Sugar starts dissolving, add 1/4 cup water and keep stirring till entire sugar dissolves.
  5. Once Sugar melts completely, add the custard water and mix well.
  6. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens (usually it takes 7-8 mins)
  7. Add 2 more tbsp ghee and mango pulp, mix well
  8. Add chopped dry fruits, mix well
  9. Grease a tray with ghee and pour the custard mixture.Allow it to cool and set.
  10. Once the mixture is cool, cut them into pieces.
  11. Freeze for 3-4 hours before serving
